HERMIGUA - Providenciales

Hermigua isn't about deep exploration or crazy currents; it’s a calm, shallow wreck dive, our pick for a relaxing afternoon. This 39-meter motor vessel sits upright in just 10 meters of water, making it perfect for longer bottom times and really soaking in the details. You can swim right through the cargo holds, where sunlight dapples the interior and schools of tiny glassfish shimmer. We love seeing the way the hull has become a home – we’ve spotted plenty of juvenile snapper peeking out from behind corroded plates and moray eels tucked into crevices. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs on the deck, too; they seem to thrive on the encrusting sponges. It’s a photographer’s dream on a sunny day, with great light penetration. We’d suggest going early in the morning for the best visibility before any boat traffic stirs things up.
