Underwater Vision Dive Center - Roatán
The team at Underwater Vision Dive Center offers a real Roatán welcome, without any of the usual resort fuss. We love their smaller boat trips; you’re not crammed in with twenty other divers and they seem to know all the quiet spots. One morning, on a drift dive at Mary's Place, we found ourselves suspended over a canyon wall, watching a lone eagle ray glide past, its shadow momentarily eclipsing the coral below. It felt like our own private show. They’re solid on the PADI courses, from Open Water all the way through to Instructor, and we appreciate that they don't rush you through the skills. Our favourite part has to be the evening dives; the reef takes on an entirely different character. Keep an eye out for sleeping parrotfish tucked into crevices and those big, lumbering lobsters coming out to forage. It’s a completely different vibe than the busy day trips. If you want a relaxed, genuine dive experience where the crew actually remembers your name and your air consumption, Underwater Vision is a great pick.
