Hell Hole - Utila

We’ve spent a lot of time diving Utila, and Hell Hole is a site we often come back to when we’re after a relaxed drift. The name sounds intimidating, but it’s actually a pretty mellow spot, usually with a gentle current that carries you along. Keep an eye out for turtles munching on the sponges and moray eels peeking from their holes. We often spot barracuda and king mackerel cruising by, sometimes even an eagle ray or two gliding past. It's an easy dive, good for new divers looking for a bit of current experience, or for seasoned folks who just want to enjoy the ride and see what drifts past.
