The team at Aqua-Trek Denarau are absolute pros, especially if you’re looking to dive the Mamanucas. They’re based right out of Port Denarau, which is super convenient, and they run these big, comfy boats. We've always found their operation really smooth, great for groups or if you're bringing the family along and want reliable, no-fuss diving. While they don’t dive Kadavu or the Great Astrolabe Reef (that's their sister operation down in Pacific Harbour), Aqua-Trek Denarau shines for exploring the Mamanuca Islands. We’ve seen everything from tiny nudibranchs tucked into the crevices to reef sharks gliding by on the outer slopes there. We love the drift dives around the Malolo Barrier Reef when the current is running; you just fly past these vibrant coral bommies, schools of fusiliers so thick they almost block out the sun, and big Napoleon wrasse cruising by. Our favourite tip for diving with them is to try and get on an earlier boat if you can – you sometimes get the sites to yourselves before the day-trippers arrive. They’re a PADI 5-Star IDC, so if you're thinking of getting certified or advancing your skills in Fiji, they're a solid choice.
