Fisherman’s Rock - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

Fisherman’s Rock might not grab headlines like some of the reef pass drifts, but it’s a solid dive, especially if you’re looking for something a bit more sheltered. Dropping down to about 20m, we found a good mix of hard and soft corals clinging to the rock face, making for some nice wide-angle shots. It's an intermediate spot, mostly because currents can pick up occasionally, but generally, it’s a relaxed dive where you can take your time scanning for reef sharks cruising the perimeter and the usual suspects like parrotfish and surgeonfish. It’s a good choice if you're keen on a reliable, easy-going dive where you can really slow down and appreciate the smaller stuff.
