Tavaniko Point - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

Tavaniko Point offers a pleasant introduction to diving in Kadavu, especially if you’re just getting your fins wet. The reef here tops out at a comfortable 19m, making it an easy drift for beginners. We've seen a good number of reef sharks patrolling the deeper edges, alongside schools of surgeonfish grazing the coral bommies. Visibility is generally good, often stretching to 20m, which helps you spot the smaller parrotfish and wrasse darting between the hard corals. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for getting comfortable with the current and soaking in the classic Fiji reef vibe without any fuss.
