Mantaray Island Resort - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef
Mantaray Island Resort, situated right on the Great Astrolabe Reef, is where we head when we’re serious about mantas. From May to October, these gentle giants glide through the channel right off the resort beach, making for reliable encounters, often just a short swim from shore. It’s perfect for divers who want easy access to these magnificent creatures without long boat rides, and the relaxed, island-style atmosphere means you’re always just steps from the water. We like it for its laid-back vibe and the sheer convenience of those manta interactions, especially if you’re keen on repeat dives with them.
