TB-1 - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

TB-1 isn't your grand, intact freighter, but this old barge, sunk at anchor back in '89, has carved out a nice niche. It sits shallow, just six meters down, making it perfect for an easy, extended dive or even a snorkel. The wreck itself is pretty broken up, a scattering of steel plates and ribs, but that broken structure creates plenty of nooks. We’ve found quite a few lionfish tucked into the crevices and schooling snapper hanging out just above the superstructure. It's a relaxed site, good for photographers keen on macro subjects or newer divers getting comfortable with a wreck environment without any deep or penetration challenges.
