Moorea Blue Diving - Moorea & Tahiti
If you’re looking for a relaxed dive in Moorea, Moorea Blue Diving is a good pick. It’s not going to blow your mind with dramatic topography or ripping currents, but it’s a lovely, gentle drift. We often see schools of scad, their silver bodies flashing as they move, and the yellowmargin triggerfish are always a fun sight, darting between the coral heads. Look closely for the Flowery Flounder on the sand patches – they’re masters of camouflage. The site is well-suited for divers who want to take their time and really observe the smaller reef inhabitants. We’ve spent whole safety stops just watching the Lineated and Clown Butterflyfish flitting around the staghorn coral. Our favourite moment here is often spotting the occasional Undulated Moray peeking out from its crevice. It’s a great site for photographers who enjoy macro and wide-angle, as the visibility is generally reliable, giving you plenty of light to play with. We’d suggest going in the morning; the light seems to hit the reef just right.
