The team at Ocean Diving Club 縱橫四海 have been a fixture on Taiwan’s Northeast Coast for years, and they really know their stuff. We’ve always appreciated their no-nonsense approach to diving here – it’s not always the easiest diving, with currents and sometimes cooler water, but they navigate it with a calm expertise. They’re a PADI 5 Star centre, so naturally, they’re excellent for getting certified or advancing your skills, especially if you’re keen to learn in conditions that will actually prepare you for real-world diving. Our favourite thing about diving with them is how they make the local sites feel accessible. They’ll guide you through spots like Longdong Bay, pointing out the subtle nuances of the wall, or helping you spot the tiny nudibranchs hiding amongst the sponges. You’ll often find them taking smaller groups, which means more attention and less of a scramble at the entry points. We’d suggest going during the shoulder seasons, April-May or September-October, when the summer crowds have thinned and the water is still comfortable enough to enjoy those longer dives without feeling rushed.
