With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Bandos Rock offers some of North Malé Atoll's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Bandos Rock offers a gentle introduction to Maldivian reef diving, rarely dropping below 22m. It's an easy dive, perfect for newer divers getting comfortable with currents, which are usually mild here. Look for reef sharks cruising the sandy bottom and schools of bannerfish fluttering near the coral blocks. We find it's a solid choice for a relaxing afternoon dive.
