IDive Thudufushi - Rasdhoo Atoll
The team at IDive Thudufushi are the kind of people you want running your dive vacation – professional, but with that laid-back Maldivian charm. We've always found them incredibly switched on, especially when it comes to finding the best conditions each day around Rasdhoo. They really shine if you're keen on finding the bigger pelagics that frequent the atoll, and they run a tight ship for PADI courses, too. If you’re staying at the resort, this is your direct line to the incredible channels and thilas nearby. We love Rasdhoo Atoll for its dramatic drift dives, and IDive Thudufushi makes them feel effortless. Picture this: dropping into a channel like Rasdhoo Madivaru, the current gently tugging you past grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, a school of eagle rays gliding by in the blue. The visibility here can be truly astounding, often over 30 metres, giving you that 'flying' sensation. Our favourite tip for diving this area is to always ask the guides about the moon phase – incoming currents during a new or full moon often bring the most exciting action. They’re also great at spotting the smaller stuff, nudibranchs tucked away, or a ghost pipefish swaying in the current if you slow down and look closely. It’s a solid choice for divers who appreciate well-organised boat dives and a focus on quality guiding.
