Scuba Himandhoo - Rasdhoo Atoll
The team at Scuba Himandhoo are a genuine bunch, not just running a dive shop, but truly living and breathing the ocean around Rasdhoo. We’ve always found their local knowledge invaluable, particularly when the currents are doing their usual Maldivian dance. They're PADI 5 Star, so you know the training is solid, but it’s their enthusiasm that really sticks with you, whether you’re doing your Open Water or just heading out for a couple of fun dives. Our favourite thing about diving with them? They really understand the rhythms of the atoll. We’ve had some cracking encounters with mantas at Madivaru Manta Point, often heading out early when the crowds are still asleep, or timing it perfectly for a late afternoon school of grey reef sharks at Rasdhoo Madivaru. They’re great at spotting the smaller stuff too, like nudibranchs tucked away on a coral head, or a shy octopus peeking from its den. It’s not just about ticking off the big pelagics, though you’ll certainly get your fill. They make sure you appreciate the whole reef. If you’re looking for a dive centre that feels more like diving with friends who happen to know all the best spots, Scuba Himandhoo is our pick.
