Thoddoo Diving Center - Rasdhoo Atoll
The team at Thoddoo Diving Center are a real find, especially if you’re keen to explore the Rasdhoo Atoll's less trodden corners. We’ve always appreciated their honest approach to dive planning; they're not going to promise you mantas if the conditions aren't right, which builds a lot of trust from the off. For us, what makes them special is their willingness to venture further afield, not just sticking to the well-known Rasdhoo sites. We’ve had some cracking dives with them around the Goidhoo Atoll, where the coral feels distinctly less touched. Think massive table corals with parrotfish crunching away, and fewer other dive boats. One morning, the sun streamed through a school of barracuda at Madivaru, creating these incredible silver flickers – a proper sensory overload. They’re excellent for beginners, too, patient and thorough, but also able to cater to experienced divers looking for something a bit more adventurous, like a drift dive along a channel edge where we've often spotted grey reef sharks cruising in the current. Their boats are comfortable, and the rental gear always feels well-maintained, which is a big plus when you're doing multiple dives a day.
