With 98+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - House Reef offers some of Rasdhoo Atoll's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
The House Reef in Rasdhoo is a gentle introduction to the Atoll’s diving, particularly if you’re staying at a guesthouse with easy shore access. We found it best for a relaxed afternoon dip or a night dive if you’re staying nearby. You’ll spend most of your time meandering along a sloping sandy bottom that gives way to patches of coral, predominantly various types of staghorn. It's not a site known for big pelagics, but look closely and you’ll spot smaller reef fish darting between the coral branches. It’s a solid spot for getting comfortable with your gear and a good choice for newer divers.
