Dhigu Thila - South Malé Atoll

Dhigu Thila, in South Malé, is a solid pinnacle dive. We often find ourselves drifting over the top, scanning for passing reef sharks, though they’re not always a guarantee. What you can count on are the resident parrotfish and wrasse, like the Bandcheek, busy on the coral. It’s a good spot for some relaxed bottom time, easy enough for newer divers but still interesting enough for those of us who’ve seen a few thilas. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, pygmygobies tucking into the anemones.
