With 100+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Exit 9 offers some of South Malé Atoll's richest channel diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Exit 9 often delivers a decent drift dive along a reef wall, though it’s not always the most vibrant coral. We usually see blacktip reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, and the occasional whale shark passes through, particularly during certain seasons. It’s a site for divers comfortable with current, offering more pelagic sightings than macro interest.
