With 100+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Masthila offers some of South Malé Atoll's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Masthila is a decent pinnacle dive in South Malé, a spot we often suggest for divers looking for something a bit less intense than some of the region's ripping channels. It tops out at 25m, so it’s a good intermediate depth. You’ll usually find fusiliers and snapper here, sometimes a passing grey reef shark if you're lucky. It's not a site that will blow your hair back, but it's a solid, enjoyable dive, a nice place to spend an hour just watching the reef breathe.
