Why dive here
With 100+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Triton Giri offers some of South Malé Atoll's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Triton Giri is a sheltered pinnacle in South Malé Atoll, often used for check dives or when conditions elsewhere are challenging. The top of the reef sits around 8 metres, sloping down to a sandy bottom at 25 metres. We've seen turtles resting on the ledges and plenty of anemonefish in the shallows. It’s a good spot for newer divers to get comfortable or for a relaxed second dive.
