Vaageli Faru might not be the flashiest address in South Malé, but it’s a solid reef dive, particularly for those who appreciate the smaller, often overlooked inhabitants. We’ve found ourselves lingering here, eyes peeled for the likes of Emery’s and Redlined Pygmygobies, tucked amongst the Lesser and Larger star corals. It’s a good spot for macro enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a relaxed drift without too much drama. Just keep an eye on the current; it can pick up, making for a faster ride over the reef.
