Yaara Giri - South Malé Atoll

Yaara Giri is a good little pinnacle in South Malé Atoll, perfect for newer divers or a relaxed afternoon trip. The top of the reef sits at a comfortable 19m, so you’ve got plenty of bottom time to drift around its circumference. We often see reef sharks circling the edges, and the overhangs hide moray eels and occasional nurse sharks. It’s a gentle introduction to Maldivian pinnacles without the strong currents some of the other sites can dish out.
