Plage aux tortues - Mayotte Lagoon
Plage aux tortues, or "Turtle Beach," is exactly what it sounds like. This shallow lagoon site, maxing out at 14 metres, is a gentle introduction to Mayotte's calmer waters. We often find green turtles here, sometimes resting on the sandy patches, other times slowly gliding by, completely unfazed by divers. It’s an ideal spot for new divers or anyone wanting a relaxed afternoon enjoying the quieter side of the lagoon, with plenty of time to really watch the turtles go about their day.
