With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Fish Hoek Reef offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Fish Hoek Reef offers a relaxed dive in the 5-20m range, making it a good choice for those easing into shore diving. We often find playful seals here, along with the usual reef residents like shy shy sharks and colourful nudibranchs. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it’s a pleasant spot for a leisurely explore. It’s a solid option for newer divers or for a second dive.
