Learn to Dive Today - Cape Town & Western Cape

If you’re thinking about learning to dive in Cape Town, the team at Learn to Dive Today should be high on your list. We’ve had a few friends go through their PADI Open Water course, and they’ve all come back raving about the patience and thoroughness of the instructors. This isn't a centre that rushes you through the motions; they really focus on making sure you're comfortable and confident before you even think about leaving the shore. What we really appreciate about Learn to Dive Today is their sensible approach to conditions. Cape Town diving can be a bit… bracing, shall we say? They’re great at picking the best local spots for training dives, often heading to sheltered coves around Simon's Town or False Bay where the water can be a few degrees warmer and the visibility generally more consistent. Think kelp forests swaying gently, shy pyjama sharks darting between the stalks, and the quiet crackle of crustaceans. They’ll also clue you in on when the south-easterly wind might make things choppier, or when a good north-westerly front has just passed, clearing the water nicely. For new divers, or those wanting to truly relax into their skills without feeling pressured, this centre is a really solid choice.
