With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Insanity Reef offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Insanity Reef sits in False Bay, often experiencing a healthy surge, making for an exciting drift. Depths here range from 5 to 20 metres. We often see shy sharks tucked into the crevices and rays cruising the sandy patches between the reef sections. It’s a good spot for divers comfortable with dynamic conditions and looking for classic Cape Town reef life.
