ROCKEATER - Cape Town & Western Cape
Dropping onto the Rockeater is always interesting. This old rock drilling vessel was scuttled intentionally, so it sits upright at 30 meters, a real purpose-built fish haven. We’ve found the swim-throughs on the upper decks are easy enough, even with the surge that can sometimes pick up here. Expect to see shy cat sharks tucked into the crevices and schooling yellowtail often circle the mast, especially if there’s a bit of current running. It's a great site for divers comfortable with depth and a bit of movement, offering a solid wreck experience without being overly complex.
