Rocky Bank - Cape Town & Western Cape

Rocky Bank is an offshore pinnacle, really more of a large rock formation than a true bank, sitting about 10km south of Cape Point. The depths here are serious, usually pushing past 30 meters, so it’s one for the experienced tech divers looking for big pelagics. We’ve had encounters with seven-gill sharks and yellowtail here, though you need a calm day and a good boat skipper to make the trip worthwhile. Expect strong currents and cooler water, even in summer.
