With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Tafelberg Reef offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Tafelberg Reef is one of those classic Cape Town dives, often with a bit of swell but consistently interesting. We've seen plenty of shy sharks tucked into the crevices here, and nudibranchs are always a good spot if you take your time. It’s a solid pick for divers comfortable with cooler water and keen on temperate reef species.
