With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - The Aster offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
The Aster, just off Cape Town, is a good shore dive when the swells aren't too big. You'll drop onto a rocky reef, usually spotting pyjama sharks tucked into crevices and often octopus out hunting. It's a solid choice for an easy afternoon dive, especially for newer divers looking to get comfortable with temperate water conditions.
