With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Windmill Offshore Reefs offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Windmill Offshore Reefs are a good choice for a casual dive when the swell allows. The site is a mix of granite boulders and sandy patches, home to shy pajama sharks and decent sized cuttlefish. We've seen octopus here, too, if you're patient enough to spot them. It's a relaxed dive, generally shallow, and suits those looking for something straightforward without strong currents.
