Vetchies Pier in KwaZulu-Natal offers a sheltered dive, making it a good spot for trainees and those looking for an easy entry. The old pier structure attracts a variety of smaller reef fish and often features nudibranchs and flatworms clinging to the pylons. We’ve found it’s best explored slowly, poking around the nooks and crannies, and it’s a solid choice when the ocean swell makes other sites too challenging.
