Gotham, Sodwana Bay - Sodwana Bay

Leonora's Reef is one of those spots on Klein Bonaire that just feels right, a gentle drift along a wall that drops to about 20 metres. We love the way the reef starts so shallow, perfect for a long surface swim before you even think about descending. The wall itself is riddled with those little nooks and crannies that are perfect for spotting something tucked away, and you’ll find plenty of Spinyhead Blennies peeking out. Our pick for a good look is around 10-12 metres; that’s where we often find the best concentrations of Finger Coral and Barber fish flitting about. Keep an eye out for Apricot Bass, their colours really pop against the darker corals. Visibility here is usually pushing 20 metres, so you get a great sense of scale as you glide along. This site is brilliant for a relaxed dive, no real strong currents to fight, just a pleasant float with plenty to see. If you’re into macro life, this is a solid bet, but the wider reef structure is impressive too.
