Malongane Ledge - Sodwana Bay
Malongane Ledge often gets overlooked, but it’s a site we always enjoy. It’s a shallow reef, 17 metres at its deepest, but the topography is what makes it interesting. There are some dramatic overhangs and mini-caves carved into the rock, creating perfect hiding spots for honeycomb moray eels and the occasional whitetip reef shark. It's a great spot for advanced divers who appreciate the hunt for smaller critters and don't mind a bit of current. Keep an eye out for schooling snapper around the bommies.
