Why dive here
With 46+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and cuttlefish - Fels Merag offers some of Istria Peninsula's richest diving. Water ranges 12-26°C, warmest July, August, September.
Fels Merag, off Croatia's Istrian coast, offers a straightforward dive. We've often found small patches of sunset cup coral and bushy coral clinging to the rocks, with poor cod and damsel fish darting between the crevices. It’s a good spot for a relaxed dive, particularly if you appreciate the quieter moments of Mediterranean reef life and aren't chasing big pelagics.
