Mikado, Weißensee - Istria Peninsula

Mikado, Weißensee in Istria is a surprisingly pleasant shore dive, especially if you're just getting your fins wet or doing a check-out. It’s shallow, only reaching 13 meters, which means plenty of bottom time for taking things slow. We usually find groups of juvenile fish darting amongst the sparse seagrass beds, and if you look closely, there are always a few crabs scuttling away into the shadows. The entry is pretty easy, and the lack of strong currents makes it a very relaxed dive. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s a perfectly good spot for a gentle introduction to Croatian diving.
