SINYEH - Larnaca

The Sinyeh, a motor vessel that ran aground and caught fire in heavy weather back in 1975, now rests in Larnaca’s shallow waters. It's an easy dive, sitting at just five metres, making it perfect for a relaxed swim-around or for newer divers getting comfortable with wrecks. The hull is still quite prominent, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into, and we often spot small schools of bream darting through the rusted metal. Given its depth, sunlight really penetrates here, bringing out the colours of the sponges and algae that have started to reclaim it. It’s not a deep, dramatic wreck, but it’s a friendly one, great for a second dive or some underwater photography practice.
