CHRESTEN RASK - Bornholm

The Chresten Rask, sitting shallow at just six metres, is one of our favourite wreck dives on Bornholm. Sunk after grounding back in ‘61, it’s a proper piece of history, easily accessible and surprisingly intact. We love how the light plays on the hull, filtering through the relatively clear Baltic waters, giving it an almost ghostly glow. You’ll find the wreck spread out, an open invitation to explore. What makes it special for us is the way the local marine life has really made it home. We’ve seen huge schools of Baltic herring shimmering around the superstructure, and the deeper you look into the nooks and crannies, the more you’ll spot. Crabs skitter across the deck plates, and we often find flatfish tucked neatly into the sand right beside the hull. It’s an easy dive, perfect for divers wanting to explore a proper wreck without the depth or current challenges. Bring a good torch to peer into the shadowed sections; it’s where the resident blennies often hide.
