JOHANNE - Bornholm

The Johanne is pure Bornholm charm, a small yacht that went down in '62 and now rests upright in just 27 metres. It’s got that classic wooden sailboat silhouette, masts still reaching up, and the whole thing is wonderfully intact. We love how the deckhouse is open for a peek inside, offering a glimpse into what was once a cosy cabin. You’ll find a surprising amount of life here, too. Crabs scuttle in the shadows, and schools of juvenile cod dart around the rigging, seemingly oblivious to our presence. For divers who appreciate history and a bit of exploration without intense currents or deep technical demands, this is our top pick in the area. The visibility on a good day can be surprisingly clear, giving the wreck a really atmospheric glow. We'd suggest going early to avoid any boat traffic, especially in summer. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for photographers or anyone wanting to spend some quality time with a piece of maritime history.
