KALLISO - Bornholm

Kalliso is one of our favourites on Bornholm, a real standout if you’re into proper wreck diving. She’s a sailing vessel, about 15 metres long, sitting upright at 43 metres. Dropping down, you start to make out the mast and rigging, often draped in fishing nets, which adds to the atmosphere but means you need to be mindful of entanglement. We love how intact she is; you can still see the deck structures, the bowsprit pointing out into the gloom. Visibility here can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it’s a stunning sight. Schools of cod often patrol the wreck, darting in and out of the holds, and we've spotted some surprisingly large flatfish tucked into the sand nearby. Exploring the Kalliso feels like stepping back in time. We'd suggest saving this one for experienced cold-water divers comfortable with deeper profiles and potentially strong currents. It’s a proper expedition, and that’s precisely why we rate it so highly.
