LISE POSSIBLY) - Bornholm

Alright, let's talk about the Lise (Possibly) wreck off Bornholm. This isn't a deep dive, sitting at a shallow 8 metres, which means plenty of bottom time and lots of light penetration, even on a cloudy day. What we love about this wreck isn't its size, but its story. This fishing vessel went down back in 1940, and time has definitely taken its toll, but that's part of the charm. You'll find the remains fairly broken up, but still clearly a wreck. Think ribs and plates scattered on the sandy seabed, creating these fantastic little hidey-holes for marine life. We’ve often seen blennies peering out from crevices, and the occasional sculpin camouflaged against a growth-covered beam. Look closely, and you’ll spot tiny nudibranchs making their way across the rusty metal. It’s a great site for photographers who enjoy macro work or want to capture the subtle beauty of a wreck slowly being reclaimed by the sea. Our favourite time to dive it is actually late afternoon when the sun angles just right, giving the whole site a soft, ethereal glow. It suits divers who appreciate history and don't need towering intact superstructures to feel connected to a wreck.
