SEKUNDUS - Bornholm

The Sekundus is one of those wrecks that really sticks with you, a poignant reminder of Bornholm’s maritime past. She’s shallow, only 13 metres, making her perfect for an extended rummage without racking up deco. We love how upright she is, sitting proud on the seabed, practically inviting you inside. You can peer into the holds, imagine the cargo she once carried, and let your imagination fill in the blanks. What makes the Sekundus truly special for us is the way marine life has completely taken over. We've seen some impressive cod lurking in the shadows, along with feisty crabs scuttling across her decking. The visibility here can be temperamental, sometimes a glorious 15 metres, other times a murky 5. Our advice? Pick a calm day, preferably after a few days of settled weather, for the best chance to really soak her in. It’s not just a wreck dive; it's a dive into a living piece of history, colonised by the sea itself. She suits divers who appreciate a good story and don't mind a bit of a treasure hunt for the details.
