Tiefer See - Bornholm

Hakau Ualanga ‘Uta is one of those spots that just sticks with you. We love diving here, mostly for the sheer density of the smaller stuff. You’ll be finning along, and suddenly you’re in a cloud of blue and gold fusiliers so thick it’s hard to see through them. They just swirl around you. We’ve spent whole safety stops just watching the pink anemonefish darting through their homes, their colours popping against the deeper blues. It’s not a drift dive. Think more slow exploration. We usually find ourselves getting really close to the reef, spotting dwarf atomgobies on the sand or the brilliant red hawkfish perched on corals, completely unbothered by us. Keep an eye out for the blunt-head parrotfish, too; their grazing leaves distinct marks. If you’re into macro and just soaking in the reef's everyday rhythm, this place is our favourite. It's calming, a place to really slow down and appreciate the details.
