VESTERVIG - Bornholm

Vestervig is our kind of wreck dive, a proper piece of history right off the coast of Bornholm. This isn't some deep, technical dive; she sits upright at a very manageable 20 metres, making her accessible for most divers. We love that she's still largely intact, a 14-metre fishing vessel with a real story to tell. Dropping down, the first thing you notice is the way the light filters through the green water, giving everything a slightly eerie, atmospheric glow. You can peer into the wheelhouse, imagine the crew on deck, and even see the prop shaft. The structure itself is a haven for the local critters; we always spot plenty of blennies darting in and out of the metalwork, and the anemones have really taken hold on the mast. It’s a site that feels alive despite being a wreck, and the fish life, though not tropical, is surprisingly engaging. For us, the joy here is in the exploration, the quiet contemplation of a sunken ship. It’s a straightforward dive, but one with real character.
