The Waterhoppers - Dodecanese

The Waterhoppers site in the Dodecanese is often a good introduction to Mediterranean diving, especially for those getting their fins wet for the first time in Greece. We’ve found the entry to be straightforward, typically a calm bay. You’ll usually see a good collection of species that are common to the area – think Goldband Goatfish sifting through the sand, the occasional Blue Crab scuttling past, and plenty of smaller Redcoats sheltering in rocky crevices. Keep an eye out for the distinctive spots of the Studded Pufferfish too. It's a relaxed dive, usually without strong currents, making it a comfortable spot for a couple of easy dives.
