Santos (Wreck) - South Coast
The Santos wreck off Ireland’s South Coast is a solid intermediate dive, sitting upright at 18 meters. We usually find it’s home to conger eels peeking from the darker recesses and plenty of wrasse darting around the superstructure. It’s a good size to explore thoroughly in one dive, allowing time to appreciate the way the cold water has sculpted the metal, creating habitats for anemones and hydroids. The visibility here can be variable, so pick a calm day if you can, but even in murkier conditions, the wreck’s shape is still discernible and rewarding.
