STAR IMMACULATE - South Coast
The Star Immaculate wreck, scuttled back in ‘93 after a run-in with Roche’s Point, sits at a very manageable 15 meters. It’s a trawler, and a good one for exploring if you’re keen on a proper wreck dive without serious depth. We’ve found plenty of pollack hanging around the superstructure, and the odd conger eel tucked into the darker corners. While it’s not exactly teeming, the wreck itself is quite photogenic, especially with the Irish light filtering down. It’s a solid pick for divers looking to spend some quality time on a single, interesting structure.
