Scuba Life Malta - Comino
The team at Scuba Life Malta feel like old friends by the end of a week, which is exactly what we look for in a dive operation. Their setup on Comino is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the busier dive boats of Malta and Gozo. We love that they really focus on smaller groups, often just two or three divers to an instructor or guide, making for a much more personal experience. They’re PADI through and through, running everything from introductory dives to divemaster courses, but where they really shine is showing off Comino’s quieter corners. You'll find yourself gliding past schools of damselfish, their blue scales flashing in the shafts of light filtering down into the caves. We always ask to hit Santa Marija Caves early in the morning – before the day-trippers arrive – and the lack of other divers makes a real difference. The water inside feels cooler, almost silken, and the sound of your own bubbles echoes wonderfully. Visibility here often stretches to 30 metres, giving you plenty of time to spot octopus tucked into crevices or a moray eel peeking from behind a rock. If you're staying on Comino, they’re the obvious choice, but even from Malta, we'd suggest making the trip for a truly relaxed day of diving.
