HENDRIK - Al Hoceima

HENDRIK is a bit of a local secret, and we absolutely love it for that. This isn't some deep, dark tech dive. It’s a shallow, approachable wreck, sitting in just 5 metres of water, perfect for a long, relaxed exploration. You’ll spend your time peering into every nook and cranny of the old hull, a fishing boat that found its final resting place here decades ago. The wreck itself is now a home for so much life. Schools of juvenile snapper dart through gaps in the rusted metal, and we often spot moray eels peeking out from behind collapsed sections of the deck. The light filtering down through the shallows plays beautifully on the encrusting sponges and anemones that have colonised the structure, giving it a real painterly quality. Our favourite time to dive HENDRIK is first thing in the morning; it’s usually calmest, and you get that beautiful early light. It’s a truly charming dive, especially if you enjoy just poking around and observing the small details.
