ISSA SEGUNDA - Al Hoceima

ISSA SEGUNDA isn't about depth or big pelagics. This is a wreck dive for everyone, sitting right in the shallows, barely five metres down. We love it because it’s so approachable, yet still feels like a proper exploration. The auxiliary ship split into a few sections, so you get distinct areas to poke around. Our favourite part is the bow section; you can fin through gaps in the hull plates, watching sunlight dapple the sandy bottom inside. Moray eels are always lurking in the darker corners, and we’ve spotted plenty of scorpionfish camouflaged against the rust. It’s the kind of site where you can spend a full hour just observing the small stuff – blennies peering from crevices, nudibranchs slowly making their way across the metal. Visibility is usually pretty good here, especially in the mornings before any surface chop picks up. It’s perfect for new divers getting their first taste of a wreck, or for experienced eyes wanting a relaxed macro hunt.
