Why dive here
With 140+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses, sea turtles and sperm whales - JACS offers some of Al Hoceima's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 16-23°C, warmest July, August, September.
JACS is a little different, a small schooner sunk back in '89, resting at just 12 metres. It's not a grand, imposing wreck, more of an intimate exploration, perfect for newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon dive. The interesting part is how quickly marine life made it home; you'll find clouds of small reef fish darting in and out of the hull's remnants, and we often spot moray eels tucked into crevices. It's a peaceful spot, a quiet corner of Al Hoceima's underwater world, offering a glimpse into both maritime history and natural recovery.
